Group Operation

Groups help organize nodes on the canvas. By placing related nodes in the same group, you can move them together or collapse content that you do not currently need to view, making complex canvases easier to navigate.

Creating a Group

On the canvas, hold Shift, then hold the left mouse button and drag to select the nodes you want to group. Release the mouse button, and the selected nodes will automatically form a group.

Configuring a Group

After creating a group, use the control bar at the top of the group to:

  • Set the group name.
  • Set the group background.
  • Collapse the group.
  • Expand the group.

Moving Nodes Into or Out of a Group

You can change which nodes belong to a group after it has been created:

  • Drag an external node into the group area to add it to the group.
  • Drag a node from inside the group to an area outside it to remove the node from the group.

Moving a Group

When you move a group, all nodes inside it move with the group. This lets you reposition the entire group without changing the relative positions of its nodes.

Deleting a Group

You can delete a group in either of the following ways:

  • Select the group and press the Delete key.
  • Right-click the top of the group and select the delete command.

Deleting a group removes only the group itself. The nodes inside the group remain on the canvas.
