License Key Activation FAQ

This page summarizes common issues and solutions that may occur when activating DFCine with a license key.

Authorization Verification Failed

If you enter the license key and see the following message:

Authorization verification failed. The authorization server returned an unrecognized status.

This is most likely caused by system time synchronization being disabled on the computer.

Solution

Open the Windows time settings and enable automatic time synchronization. After the system time is synchronized, try activating DFCine again.

Unable to Read Device Authorization Identifier

If you enter the license key and see the following message:

Unable to read the device authorization identifier.

The system may be unable to locate required Windows system tools from the user environment variable path.

Solution

Open Control Panel, then go to System > Advanced system settings > Environment Variables. Under User variables, edit Path and add the following path:

C:\Windows\System32

After saving the environment variable, restart DFCine and try activating again.
